Italian Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Dust a clean work surface with flour and roll out the pizza dough into a circle that's about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a pizza pan or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Spoon the tomato sauce mixture onto the pizza dough and spread it evenly, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the tomato sauce.
  7. Add the sliced pepperoni and black olives on top of the cheese.
  8. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
